Following the success of Forever, The Farmer’s Dog aimed to cement a distinct point of view, tone of voice, and visual style in our TV advertising. This meant leaning into authenticity in a way not often seen in CPG advertising: real homes (with real scuffs, dings, and dated furniture), real people, real world situations, and all shot on real film.
Each spot focused on one core RTB: Human-grade safety standards, delivery to your door, and palatability. The last spot, Referee, simply celebrated the love of dogs for their people — no matter what — and in the process drew an outpouring of responses from both the public and the industry when it debuted in the 2024 NFL Season Opener (Chiefs vs. Ravens).
